Rae is a queer, nonbinary artist based out of Taos, New Mexico and Burnsville, North Carolina. Encouraged by their parents, Rae began their artistic exploration in early childhood; and has continued to pursue art throughout their life. They have taken side quests to achieve degrees in Anthropology and Art History, work as a professional field Archaeologist, and develope their skill sets as a general handiperson, carpenter and natural builder. However, their love of art has always prevailed as an uncontrolable compulsion to create.
Rae’s main artistic influences include Moebius, H.R. Giger, Yoshitaka Amano, and Junji Ito. They have a strong penchant for travel, and find themselves continuously inspired by their experiences along the way, and the natural world around them.
